Episode 4 - August 9, 2005- 57:38 minutes -Click Here-

Once again there's been a delay. My apologies. I'm having a murder of a time with the Internet Archive and ourmedia.org. This will be the last podcase posted there unless the bandwidth becomes an issue on my new host.

Show Notes

  • Tobi and Ryan purchased headsets and we briefly touch on them. Tobi talks a little about his latest wireless router, the D-Link DI-524. Which leads into a discussion of WiFi theft and setting DMZ hosts.
  • Discussion about the South Korean guy that died after a 50 hour video game playing marathon.
  • Discussion of how my buddy was scammed when he bought a memory card with an incorrect capacity sticker on it.
  • Discussion update on why the plane crashed last week
  • Tobi plans on doing product reviews by buying and returning products at some stores.
  • Tobi recommends websites http://www.tinyurl.com and http://www.bugmenot.com
  • Discussion on upcoming podcast.
    • Next week. Ryan will talk about automotive computer viruses. Hoax or possibility?
    • Tobi will talk about restricting Childrens access to the Internet.
Tune in Next Week. Ryan will be in town and it'll be a whole different show.

Horrible, unsightly delays have prevented me from posting the 4th episode.

Since I wanted to keep the podcast on a budget, I was using the Ourmedia.org service, but for the past two evenings I've been unable to upload the file. Even as I type this the ourmedia.org service isn't functioning properly.

I've taken the plunge into high expense. I've signed up with a webhost that will allow me 330GB of transfer a month. I don't know how I will pay for it yet. My podcast is free and will remain free. I don't want to use advertising either. So. For now I'm doing nothing, but I may put a Paypal donations button up if I feel that the costs of continuing the show are rising.

Aparently this isn't a new problem for podcasters, but I sure as hell didn't think it would happen to me by episode 4!

I hope to have Tuesdays show for you guys by tomorrow.

Cheers,
Tobias.
